NIAGARA FALLS – A couple walking at Whirlpool Street and Walnut Avenue just before 10 p.m. on Monday was robbed by three men – one armed with a pump action shot gun and the another with a handgun, police said.
The robbers, who were dressed in all black, demanded the couple empty their pockets and hand over their bags.
During the robbery, the gunman with the shotgun pumped it, ejecting a shell.
The three took a backpack, a black leather handbag, both their passports, $1,500 in cash, an iPad mini, a camcorder, a camera and two iPhones. Total loss was estimated at $4,201, according to police.
Descriptions were given of two of the men, who were both described as black men. One man was five foot, six inches, 170 pounds, carrying a handgun, wearing all black with a black ski mask. The other was five foot, 10 inches, 150 pounds, carrying a black shotgun, wearing all black with a hoodie up and a black baseball hat. The third man was wearing all black.
The men fled on foot.
