TOWN OF LOCKPORT – An argument over high-beam headlights triggered a fight in which a 23-year-old man was stabbed in both arms late Friday, Niagara County sheriff’s investigators said.
A man driving his car into the parking lot of an apartment complex at 6600 Dysinger Road during heavy rain about 10:25 p.m. failed to dim his headlights, angering a driver in another vehicle, deputies said.
Police said Alexander Dracup, no age or address given, was punched in the face and kicked as he tried to get out of his vehicle, then defended himself with a pocket knife, stabbing his attacker.
Deputies said Jeffrey C. Denton of Rapids Road suffered stab wounds to both arms and was treated in Eastern Niagara Hospital. Charges have yet to be filed. The investigation was turned over to the sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Bureau.
