FORT ERIE, Ont. – A woman who suffered severe and possibly life-threatening head injuries was taken to Buffalo’s Erie County Medical Center after the motorcycle on which she was a passenger collided with a car stopped on the Queen Elizabeth Way near the Peace Bridge about 1:25 p.m. Thursday, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
The man driving the motorcycle was taken to Greater Niagara General Hospital with what police said were non-life threatening injuries.
The names of the victims, who were thrown from the ‘cycle in the collision, were not released by police. Traffic was backed up for a time and then police closed that portion of the QEW for hours while investigating the accident.
