Firefighters in West Seneca battled a blaze early Saturday at a vacant home on Summit Avenue.
Firefighters were called just before 1 a.m. Saturday to extinguish smoke and fire coming from the vacant, two-story home at 65 Summit, near Freemont Avenue, according to reports from the Vigilant Fire Department.
West Seneca’s Vigilant, East Seneca, Seneca Hose, Bellevue, Union, and Reserve Hose fire companies all responded to the scene, as did Cheektowaga’s Southline fire company, according to reports.
The blaze was extinguished within two hours. The cause of the fire was not available.
