NIAGARA FALLS – A St. John’s Parkway man was arrested and taken to the hospital with a small stab wound to the chest early Thursday morning after witnesses told city police the assailant chased a man with a knife and dragged a woman by her hair.
James A. Mylar, 39, who police described as appearing highly intoxicated, was arrested at about 4:30 a.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex at St. John’s Parkway and 89th Street.
A small amount of blood was seen on a pocket knife attached to Mylar’s keys, according to a police report. Mylar told police he did not know how he was injured, and was charged with second-degree assault, a class D felony, and second-degree menacing, a class A misdemeanor.
