Two people were shot early today after a disturbance inside a Clinton Street bar spilled outside, Buffalo police reported.
A fight of some kind broke out after 3:10 a.m. in the bar at 898 Clinton St., just west of North Fillmore Avenue, the shooting victims later told police.
One man said he was robbed of $600 before the thief started shooting wildly, with one bullet striking him in the head. Another man, who was shot in the stomach, said as many as three people were shooting because the shots came from different directions.
The assailants left the scene of the shooting in a silver Ford Explorer or Mercury Mountaineer SUV, according to an account provided to Ferry-Fillmore district officers.
The injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening and the men who were shot were taken to local hospitals, said Michael J. DeGeorge, a Buffalo police spokesman. No further information on their conditions was available.
Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call the Confidential TIPCALL Line at 847-2255.
