HANOVER – A 47-year-old Gowanda woman was arrested on drunken driving charges and aggravated drunken driving charges for having an eight-year-old child in her care when stopped at Routes 5 and 20 by Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies about 6:45 p.m. Sunday.
Patricia A. Lipowicz of Route 62, Gowanda, was remanded to the Chautauqua County jail after her arraignment on the driving while intoxicated and Leandra’s Law charges and traffic infractions of failing to keep right, unsafe lane charges, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
She was reportedly observed driving to the left of the center of Alleghany road and then driving erratically at the intersection where she was stopped.
