RANSOMVILLE – Niagara County sheriff’s deputies called to check on the well-being of a Harris Avenue man Wednesday found his home in deplorable conditions and officially condemned it.
The man, who had bot been seen for nearly a week by neighbors coworkers, was not at home and later determined to be a patient in a Buffalo hospital.
Deputies entered the bhome, in the 3500 block of Harris, through an unsecured door and discovered garbage, rotting food, clutter and junk throughout the house – with only a narrow path to navigate the house and large buckets beneath hole sin the ceiling to catch rain.
Town of Wilson Building Inspector Lawrence Banks inspected the house and condemned it.
