LOCKPORT –A West Seneca man charged with sexually attacking a 12-year-old girl in North Tonawanda last year accepted a plea deal Wednesday in Niagara County Court.
Justin C. Wheeler, 21, of Westminster Road, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted first-degree rape in connection with the Nov. 18 attack. Prosecutors said the sex was not forcible and the rape charge stemmed from the girl’s age.
County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas said she will sentence Wheeler, who had no prior criminal record, to between five and 10 years in prison. sentencing is set for Sept. 10. As
