NIAGARA FALLS – Niagara Falls detectives are searching for a man who robbed the First Niagara Bank branch at 805 Main St. just before 1 p.m. today.
The bandit, who handed a threatening note to a teller but displayed no gun, fled on foot with a large amount of cash, northbound on Main Street.
He was described as a black man, 5 foot 10 to 6 feet tall, wearing a white, long-sleeve button-down shirt, khaki pants, mirrored sunglasses, white socks, brown sandals and a tan cap.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Niagara Falls Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau at 286-4553.
