LOCKPORT – Authorities, led by the smell of marijuana smoke, made an arrest Wednesday night after finding an innmate in possession of the drug, who had allegedly been smoking in the Niagara County Jail.
William A. Jones Jr., 33, of LaSalle Avenue was found in his housing area just after 11 p.m. with two small baggies containing marijuana.
Jones was serving 90 days in jail after being sentenced in Niagara Falls City Court on marijuana charges. He will now face additional charges of unlawful possession of marijuana and promoting prison contraband.
