ALLEGANY – A village man upset about some postings on Facebook was arrested today after his anger spilled over into a domestic dispute, state police said.
Troopers said they were called to the home of Michael A. Osby, 27, after Osby allegedly choked and punched his girlfriend in the face because of postings on the social media website.
Osby was arraigned in Village Court on criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment charges, then released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 5.
Meanwhile, his girlfriend was issued an order of protection that requires Osby to stay away from her.
